Niger has a very interesting recent history in that it has experienced a tremendous economic growth during the 80 when the world demand on Uranium was very high. After nuclear energy was somehow set aside in the developed countries, the economy collapsed.

Recently the country has stabilized but it remains one of the countries with lowest revenue per capita.

We have opened our head-office in the capital, Niamey, where the activities started in October 2002. We are now in the process of opening a second agency in Maradi, located about 600 km east from Niamey, close to the Nigerian border.

The crisis in Ivory Coast has slowed down the arrival of our first containers but we are now fully operational.

We would like to thank the Niger Ministry of Health and especially Dr Bonkaney, director of the Pharmaceutical Section for their kind cooperation during the launching of our operation.
